Some services provided are NOT covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:

• Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)
• Insurance claim forms (eg holiday cancellation)
• Letters for taking medication abroad
• Fit to fly forms
• Certain travel vaccines
• Private sick notes
• Vaccination certificates
• Fit to do charity event (eg cycling, running, parachute jump)
• Reports for health clubs to certify that patients are fit to exercise
• Adoption medicals

Sometimes we will charge institutions for non-NHS work:

• Medical reports for an insurance company
• Some reports for the DSS/Benefits Agency
• Examinations of local authority employees
• Review of driving license for DVLA
